Hello, my name is Matthew. I admire the renaissance ethos, and try to be versatile in many professions. My education and abilities are in visual art, and music performance & education. I received my training at Massachusetts College of Art & Design, and the UMass Lowell.
In 2004, along with my wife, Franky, we opened Mambo Grill, a successful restaurant in historic downtown Lowell. In 2007, I took a sabaticle-of-sorts, by working as a Graphic Designer for a year at The Sun - the newspaper of record in the Merrimack Valley. In 2008, I re-teamed with my wife to open Monkeys Ice Cream, and Humanity - a women's clothing boutique. In 2009, my wife ran for local office, and won a seat on Lowell's City Council. I was in charge of her complete marketing campaign.
While achieving those goals I have held music directorial positions at three major churches in the Archdiocese of Boston. I have performed in many ensembles, and have enjoyed great success as a solo performer.
I continue to keep my design skills honed at my three businesses by handling all things visual; from wall paintings and mosaic tables to store signs, print media, websites and email marketing. And, you can catch my music performances any given Sunday at a number of local churches.
